Zhang Guoqing, with a doctoral degree in science, was employed by Seawater Fishery Research Institute of Hainan Academy of Ocean and Fisheries Sciences and joined the seawater breeding technology team in July, 2017. During his postgraduate years, he researched into the family breeding of seawater economic animal—trachinotus ovatus and the molecular regulatory mechanism of temperature’s influence on the growth of trachinotus ovatus. He predominantly contributed to the subtask of national “863” program—Important Southern Seawater Cultured Fish Fine Breed Breeding (2012AA10A407), subtask of national “863” program—Rare Tropical Seawater Animal Fine Breed Breeding Technology (2012AA10A414), significant scientific programs of Hainan—“Scale Breeding and Industrialized Development of Hainan Advantageous Cultured Fish Fry and Shellfish Larva” and “Research of Healthy and Highly Efficient Land-based Breeding Mode of Grouper and Key Technology”, and Hainan applied technology R&D and demonstration special program “selective breeding demonstration of fine family of trachinotus ovatus”. During the task, he participated in the check and acceptance meeting of the national “863” program, national “Grouper Breeding Industrialization” forum, etc. Up till now, he has published 10 SCI theses and is the first author of 4 of them. In addition, he was awarded the national scholarship for postgraduate students in 2013 and doctoral candidate in 2015.
